Director of Manufacturing Operations

The qualified candidate will participate as a member of the Operations team with the responsibility of production, both internal and outsource, manufacturing test engineering, manufacturing engineering, and quality. Ensure that design for manufacturability, test and service requirements are developed, implemented and validated. The Director will lead the Manufacturing Operations team with the responsibility of taking new products from EVT/DVT low volume builds to high volume production in Asia. In addition, this position will drive quality function including development of QMS, compliance to quality standards and customer requirements, and analysis and closed-loop feedback to achieve desired acceptance levels and for continuous improvement.


New Product Introduction:

  • Work with Design teams during EVT and DVT phases of Product Life Cycle – DFM, DFT, DFS
  • Participate in engineering design and peer reviews
  • Work with local PCBA CMs to support EVT, DVT and small volume builds including in-house testing, build analysis and feedback to appropriate source for corrective action as required
  • Work with off-shore CM/EMS and support Process Verification, PVT builds with eventual transition of PCBA products into volume production

Mass Production

  • Be the primary interface with CMs for resolution of build, test, and quality issues in a PCBA / SMT production environment
  • Direct and guide staff to support the CM in resolution of pertinent issues


  • Lead development and implementation of a QMS including related documentation
  • Drive Root Cause Failure Analysis and Corrective Action to appropriate source(s)
  • Manage the RMA process for failure analysis and product turnaround back to customer

Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking two dynamic Regional Sales Managers for both the Western US and Eastern US territories. These key positions require individuals with exceptional customer insight and interface skills. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for direct and distribution channel sales of company products and services. In addition, you will manage all aspects of sales to prospective and current customers, provide technical and administrative product information, be responsible for product presentations and demos and manage the sales channel within your region. You will be accountable for meeting sales targets and company growth objectives through new customer development and sales growth optimization of existing accounts within the established geographic area. In addition, you will provide market and account level leadership to properly identify, qualify, create account plans and execute against those plans with our partners, focusing on the electric cooperative and municipality space. Marketing Programs Manager

As Marketing Programs Manager for On-Ramp Wireless you will be responsible for executing the programs supporting the promotion and sales of our purpose built M2M communications systems, infrastructure and applications. The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Product and Ecosystem Management.

You will be a key part of enhancing the On-Ramp brand and voice across all channels, developing and promoting compelling content, expanding industry and press outreach, and identifying qualified leads that generate sales opportunities for our solutions.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Drive execution of trade shows, demo events, press conferences and related activities.
  • Develop content and manage delivery of marketing collateral and brochures, company website, executive speeches and presentations, industry outreach (e.g. contributed content, webinars), and commercial white papers.

As Director Ecosystem Development for On-Ramp Wireless you will serve as the primary owner of ecosystem business development and enablement activities for our purpose built M2M communications technology, identifying and cultivating sensor and device manufactures to embed On-Ramp’s RPMA communications in their applications. On-Ramp Wireless seeks a highly motivated Director of Strategic Business Development (BD) for our rapidly expanding Global Oil & Gas (O&G) industry sector. In this role, you will develop, refine and deliver effective selling and partner strategies to distinguish On-Ramp’s Total Reach technology as the standard for the Digital Oil Field, as well as natural gas Automated Meter Infrastructure. You will lead the company’s O&G market development and strategic partner development efforts that enable these key partnerships to increase our strategic customer acquisition and revenues in this global industry sector. You will help to expand our presence across all O&G channels and systems integrators by aiding in the development and promotion of industry specific content, customer specific solutions, and strategic sales campaigns that deliver compelling customer value. Ultimately you will be helping to expand our industry and press outreach, while helping to drive qualified leads that generate sales opportunities for our partner-led solutions. Project Engineer

Onramp Wireless has an immediate need for an entry- level Project Engineer (PE) to join our Applications Engineering Team. The primary role of the PE will be to provide technical support to our eco-system development partners integrating RPMA technology into their end applications. The ORW Project Engineering team provides direct partner integration support throughout all phases of application integration including: system design, test, to partner production. This is an exciting engineering role that is customer facing. You will have opportunity to get involved in all facets of 3rd party end to end application development by providing support for: system design hardware development, firmware development, back office integration, as well as field pilot demonstration and validation. The qualified candidate will be expected to maintain expertise in the latest wireless technologies as well as monitor new developments in the emerging M2M and Internet of Things markets.


  • Daily activities are a split between time spent working with internal engineering as well as external partners during development and test of newly integrated applications.
  • Some Domestic and International Travel (up to 10%) to development partner locations or end customer pilot locations may be required. Travel may be required for assisting development partners during the integration effort. Additionally travel may be required for piloting of newly integrated applications as well as Pre Sales Qualification for newly integrated applications.
  • Provide technical support to development partners integrating RPMA technology into their applications using our standard reference collateral.
  • Participate in regular technical discussions with partners across multiple levels and disciplines to help partners refine system operation as mapped to RPMA fundamentals as well as resolving other technical needs.

The ideal candidate will be a flexible, dynamic and visible leader that advocates for quality and is passionate about great technology.

  • 5+ years of C/C++ programming experience.
  • Expert Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills.
  • Strong background in high-performance algorithms and data structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of protocol-stack development and experience designing and implementing communication systems from the ground-up.

Staff Software Engineer

The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for the lead development of a back office enterprise server components for the On-Ramp suite of products. The qualified candidate will be a dynamic and visible leader that advocates for business-focused solutions. Will own all aspects of the product design, implementation and deployment and help grow the customer base with high-quality product features and technology. Will also interface with other developers on system design and data integration issues, work with designers and product management on user-interface design and implementation and collaborate with the test team on test planning and automated testing.

Staff System Test Integration Engineer

The Staff/Manager, System Test and Integration Engineer will work with a multi-disciplinary team to execute tests on the end-to-end system, develop test requirements, and write test plans for a cutting-edge wireless system under development at On-Ramp Wireless. The engineer will have responsibility in several aspects of testing including the specification and development of the test environment, implementation of test tools or platforms, development and execution of tests, and reporting/logging of results and exceptions. The system test engineer will also participate in the system design to ensure adequate availability of system diagnostic data.

As a proficient user of the system, the engineer will also support customer and business development activities in the form of training, conducting system demos and troubleshooting of problems found in the field.

An MSEE/CS and a minimum of 6 years of experience in the design, development or testing of wireless systems (either terminal equipment or infrastructure equipment) is required. The qualified engineer will have working knowledge and have made tangible contributions in one or more of the following areas:

  • Wireless technologies: GSM, EDGE, GPRS, CDMA, WCDMA, WLAN, Bluetooth, WiMAX, LTE, UWB, ZigBee, etc.

Sr. RF Test Engineer

The Sr. RF Test Engineer will work with On-Ramp R&D and Operations Engineering staff including contract manufacturers to design build and release test solutions used for product characterization, reliability and production testing of On-Ramp’s products.

Responsibilities include the following: compose test plans, select test equipment and components, define and configure test setups, antenna validations, drive requirements for hardware/fixture architecture, RF calibration and software test flow.

Will also influence design-for-test, write test automation software using object oriented scripting language employing a mindset for optimal code re-use, validate repeatability and reproducibility of test solutions using statistical methods (Gage R&R), establish test limits and release qualified test solutions into production.

Will run characterization tests on PC board modules and integrated circuits, generate documentation for test hardware, fixtures, calibration, software solutions and procedures for contract manufacturers and operators, publish standardized test reports summarizing product yield signatures, drive yield improvement strategies, and provide product debug and failure analysis support as needed.


  • A BSEE or working equivalent and a minimum of 5 years’ applicable experience is required.
  • Ability to clearly explain RF concepts; IP3, gain compression, I/Q balance, noise figure, Return Loss and power measurement.
  • Understands RF functional blocks; amps, converters, PLL’s, synthesized LO’s, filters, RF detectors, AGC loops, direct conversion architecture, etc.
  • Proficient with RF test equipment; spectrum & network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, DMM’s, vector and signal analysis, etc.
  • Understand how to measure and calibrate RF signal levels and losses throughout a test environment.
  • Understand digital interfaces, GPIB control systems and drivers for serial communication, I2C/SPI buss, etc.
